The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
· “Cardholder" means the primary cardholder of a Scotiabank Personal VISA® Credit Card.
· "Promotional Period" refers to the period from December 15, 2025 to January 14, 2026.
· “Digital Entry” refers to each entry the Cardholder will receive during this Promotion.
· "Promotion" refers to this promotion and not to any of the Bank's other promotions or programs.
· “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion. A Cardholder must receive and open an email invitation from VISA® to participate in this Promotion. If the Cardholder does not receive and opens an email invitation from VISA®, they will not be eligible to participate in this Promotion, regardless of reaching the Spend Goal.
· “Eligible Purchase/Transaction” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/Debits or any fees and/or bank charges) that meets the minimum Spend Goal in local currency transactions are eligible i.e no transactions requiring foreign exchange are eligible.
· “Purchases" means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction.
· "Personalized Spend Target" refers to the predetermined Spend Goal amount that will be shared with selected Cardholders by way of email.
· "Good Standing" means that the Cardholder’s account should not be overdue or overlimit by any amount.
· “Prize” refers to theprize a Cardholder receives if they are selected as a winner in this Promotion.
· "Cashback Reward" refers to the amount that will be credited to a Cardholder's Scotiabank VISA® credit card when they satisfy their Personalized Spend Goal during the Promotional Period.
· "Scotiabank" or "the Bank" means Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Limited.
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Trinidad & Tobago who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall also be governed by the applicable laws of the named country.
1.1 ELIGIBILITY
· This Promotion is open to legal residents of Trinidad & Tobago, who are 18 years of age or older, specified in the email communication offer which is valid only for the Primary Cardholder to whom the email communication was addressed.
· Employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees will be excluded from this Promotion. Employees of the Bank's advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
· Eligibility is restricted to selected Cardholders whose accounts are still active at the time of crediting the Cashback Reward, are in good standing and have not been frozen, blocked or closed.
· All Eligible Purchases/Transactions will be considered towards the earning of Cashback. Please note only transactions in local currency are eligible .
. If a Cardholder earns a Prize but ceases to be a client during the Promotional Period, or the Individual's Accounts cease to be in good standing or becomes an “immediate family member”, then the cardholder shall be considered ineligible to receive the Prize.
· Purchases/Transactions resulting from unauthorized card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.
To participate in the Promotion, the Cardholder must open at least one (1) of the emails sent during the Promotional Period addressed to the Cardholder and use the Scotiabank credit card identified in the invitation email.
1.2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE / DRAW PRIZES
· All existing Scotiabank Personal VISA® credit card Cardholders with an active status during the Promotional Period are eligible to participate.
· Only existing clients who are up to date with payments on their Scotiabank Personal VISA® credit cards, and who do not have any overdue (delinquent) accounts on any other products they hold with Scotiabank, are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
· Additionally, their Scotiabank credit card must not have any of the following status during the Promotional Period at the time of making purchases and receiving the Prize: under a payment agreement, blocked, frozen, reported as stolen or lost, canceled, or obtained illegally.
1.3. PROMOTION MECHANICS AND RULES
· Clients will be invited to participate via the email address registered with Scotiabank, where they will be informed of the Spend Goal they must meet and the credit card with which they must reach the accumulated Spend Goal during the Promotional Period in order to receive a Cashback reward, as specified in the email received.
· To be eligible to receive the Cashback, the client must open at least one of the emails sent during the Promotional Period, noting that the communication is addressed to the client receiving the offer.
· The Cashback will be credited to the credit card that was invited to participate in the Promotion. The maximum value of this Cashback is per client and is specified in the promotional communications sent through the designated digital channels.
· Participating clients acknowledge that only the Primary Cardholders who make purchases with the designated card mentioned in the communication will be eligible for the Cashback. However, purchases made with supplementary cards will be counted toward meeting the Spending Goal.
· Any claims related to this Promotion must be submitted no later than 90 days after the end of the Promotion.
· Cash advances, purchases in casinos or for gambling, as well as card issuance, renewal fees, and interest charges, are not eligible.
· Purchases made by supplementary cardholders will count toward the Primary Cardholder’s spending for the purpose of accumulating electronic tickets.
1.4 TIMING OF CREDIT:
Provided that the Cardholder has satisfied the requirements of this Promotion, the Cashback Reward earned will be credited to the Cardholder's Scotiabank credit card account ninety (90) days from the end of the Promotional Period.
1.5 CONSUMER DISCLOSURE:
· Once a Cardholder opens any of the invitation emails during the Promotional Period and subsequently uses their Eligible Credit Card to make purchases during the Promotional Period, it constitutes the Cardholder's consent to participate in this Promotion.
· This Promotion is a limited-time promotion which will run from December 15, 2025 to January 14, 2026.
· A Cardholder's reward earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited if the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any time during the Promotion.
· Cashback Rewards earned during this Promotion are not transferable and are subject to change at any time by VISA®® and Scotiabank.
· Scotiabank participates only as a means of payment and is not responsible for the products or services purchased by the Cardholder during the Promotional Period.
· Cardholders who receive the Cashback Reward will be responsible for any taxes, insurance, and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their reward, and must agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless the Bank from and against all claims, losses, injuries, or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion.
· The above Terms and Conditions are in addition to, and do not replace, the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Scotiabank VISA® Credit Card.
· In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.
· Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
· Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank's decision is final.
These Terms and Conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank's other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
