The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
- “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card.
- “Promotional Period” refers to the period from October 14th, 2024 to December 31st, 2024, inclusive.
- “Promotion” refers to this competition and not any of Scotiabank’s other competitions or programs.
- “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion.
- "Purchases" means any retail, internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction.
- “Eligible Transactions” means any retail, internet purchase, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction not including returns/credits, any fees and/or bank charges that meets the minimum spend requirement in both local and foreign currency except for Trinidad and Tobago Cardholders, where only local currency transactions will be included as an Eligible Transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, for Trinidad and Tobago Cardholders, any transaction required to be settled directly or indirectly using foreign exchange will not be considered as an Eligible Transaction for the purposes of this Promotion.
- “Good standing” means the account should not be overlimit or past due any amount during the campaign period.
- “Eligible credit cards” refers only to Scotiabank retail Mastercard credit cards. Transactions made using a Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion.
- “Reward” refers to the prize a Cardholder receives if they are selected as a winner in the Promotion.
- "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means, Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Limited.
This Promotion is open to legal residents of the Trinidad and Tobago aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible Scotiabank credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees. Employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in the Promotion. These Terms and Conditions shall also be governed by the applicable laws of the named countries.
How to Participate:
During the Promotional Period, Cardholders from the countries noted above will be entitled to receive one (1) entry for every Eligible Transaction made with a minimum spend amount as outlined below. There is no limit on the number of entries a Cardholder may receive during the Promotional Period.

For example, if a Cardholder in Trinidad performs three (3) transactions, one for TT$3,400, another for TT $1,600 and another for TT $4,800, the Cardholder will receive two (2) entries in the Promotion: one for the TT $3,400 transaction and the second for the TT $4,800 transaction.
The minimum spend requirement for each country is inclusive of Value Added Tax and/or such other Government taxes as applicable in the jurisdiction where the transaction is processed.
Prize Draw
- One (1) Cardholder only from each of the participating countries will be selected to win one (1) prize which comprises a trip fora Priceless Experience in Italy as detailed below. The trip will be for the Cardholder and one (1) person of the Cardholder’s choice and the Cardholder will earn an entry to win the Prize for each Eligible Transaction they make during the Promotional Period.
- The draw for the Prizes will be done Monday January 20th, 2024, by the Product Marketing Units for the participating countries.
- The allotted number of winners will be randomly selected from an electronic customer database with qualifying entries using a randomizer (Excel format). Four (4) entries per country will be drawn as back up winners.
Prize Info
- The winning Cardholder in Trinidad will receive a trip package for two (2) people (the winning Cardholder and a companion) to a Priceless Experience All Inclusive Trip to Italy, for 7 days, 6 nights. The winning Cardholder must be one (1) of the two (2) travellers.
For all countries involved in this Promotion, the Priceless Experience All-Inclusive Trip to Italy includes:
Roundtrip airline tickets from the country where the Cardholder’s retail credit card is maintained to [insert city], Italy (including any required connections)
- 5-star hotel accommodation with double occupancy for 2 people
- Private airport transfers to and from the hotel in Italy
- Priceless experiences (Dinners, guided tours, Wine Tasting)
- Dedicated onsite host/concierge
- One (1) Prepaid Card with USD$500 to cover meals
- Luxury ground transportation to and from the priceless experiences in Italy
The trip will take place in May 2025.

Eligibility
· This Promotion is open to legal residents of the Trinidad and Tobago aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible Scotiabank credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household of any of these employees. Employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in the Promotion.Eligibility is restricted to select Cardholders whose credit card account is still active at the time of the draw, is in good standing and has not been frozen or closed.
· All Eligible Transactions in local and foreign currencies will be considered toward the earning of entries except for Cardholders in Trinidad & Tobago, where only local currency transactions will count as Eligible Transactions. Except as noted in these Terms and Conditions, there are no limits to the number of entries a Cardholder may receive.
· Transactions from unauthorized credit card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion.
Draw - Consumer Disclosure / Notification of winners.
· Attempts to notify each winner will be made by telephone, three (3) times within three (3) business days from the date of the draw. Should the Bank be unable to speak to the winner by telephone within the aforementioned period another winner will be drawn from the backup winners in their stead. After being notified by telephone, an email will be sent to the winner. The winner will then be required to provide proof of their age and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within five (5) business days of the email notification to be confirmed as a winner. The winner will also be required to provide proof of ownership of the Scotiabank credit card that was used to win the prize. A valid form of national identification must also be presented to collect the prize. For example, National ID card, Passport, or Driver’s License.
· If the winner declines or fails to fulfill these conditions to collect the prize, their eligibility will be voided, and another winner will be drawn from backup winners in the order in which they were selected. All unaccepted prizes will be retained by the Bank.
· Contact will be attempted using the Cardholder’s phone number as found in the Bank’s records. If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone within three (3) business days of the draw date the Bank has the right to offer the prize to the backup winner.
· The winners’ name may be published in the media. The winner must agree to the use of their name and photographs without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank or the prize may be forfeited.
· The winner will be responsible for any entry visa, taxes, tips, insurance, travel requirements and expenses not explicitly stated as part of their prize, and must agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Bank from and against any or all claims, losses, injuries or damages resulting from participation in this Promotion. If a Cardholder who is selected as a winner is unable to secure any entry or satisfy any applicable travel requirements for the destination city in advance of the prize trip, this will amount to a forfeiture of the prize and the Bank will proceed to select a new Cardholder from the list of backup winners drawn.
· Once a Cardholder is advised of being selected as a winner, the cardholder will be allowed five (5) business days to accept the prize and confirm that he/she will be able to satisfy the requisite travel requirements. Should the selected Cardholder be unable to accept the prize after the end of the five (5) business days after initial contact from the Bank representative, Scotiabank reserves the right to proceed to the proceed with a back-up winner in the order in which they were drawn.
· The use of your Eligible Scotiabank credit card to make purchases together with your use of the Scotiabank Online Banking and Scotiabank Caribbean App to perform transactions in accordance with these terms and conditions constitute your consent to participate in this Promotion and your consent for The Bank to obtain your name, address and other information for the lawful purpose of administering this Promotion and for other uses as permitted by applicable law. Scotiabank reserves the right, with consultation and approval from the relevant Gaming Commissions (as applicable) to void any and all entries of an entrant who Scotiabank believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this contest.
· To unsubscribe from receiving communications about and to opt out of this Promotion call our Contact Centre using the number on the back of your credit.
· Any Prize earned through participation in this Promotion will be forfeited in the event that the Cardholder ceases to be a Cardholder at any period from the beginning of the Promotion to draw time for this Promotion.
· Prizes are not transferable and are subject to change, with approval from the relevant Gaming Commissions (National Lotteries Control Board in Trinidad and Tobago) as applicable.
· Prizes must be accepted as awarded.
· The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the prizes which result from circumstances outside of its control.
· Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the prize.
In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects, subject to the approval from the relevant gaming authorities.

· Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
· Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final.
These Terms and Conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank’s other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
