DEFINITIONS

The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:

• “Eligible” refers to any individual qualified to participate in this promotion/campaign.
• “Individual” means a person who has entered the promotion/campaign during the Promotional Period.
• “Promotional Period” means from June 23^rd, 2025 to October 31^st 2025, inclusive of start and end dates.
• "Promotion” refers to this Scotiabank Residential Mortgage Campaign 2025 and not any of The Bank’s other promotions or campaign.
• “Account” refers to Scotia Plan Loans, Auto Loans, Mortgages, Scotiabank Credit Cards, Deposit accounts, Home Builder Loan.
• “Eligible Credit Facility” refers to any new Residential Mortgage, Switch Mortgage and Equity Take Out Mortgage Loan equal to or exceeding TTD $750,000.00.
• “The Bank” and “Scotiabank” means Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Limited.
• “Prize” refers to the prize(s) offered at the end of the Promotional Period by The Bank.

ELIGIBLITY

1. This Promotion is open to legal residents of Trinidad and Tobago, 18 years of age or older who have  a Deposit Account or have opened one during the Promotional Period and have applied for and received the proceeds of an Eligible Credit Facility during the Promotional period, with the exception of Scotiabank employees and/or those living in the same household of Scotiabank employees, their immediate families including (spouses, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses), as well as any of Scotiabank’s partner companies, subsidiaries and/or its advertising agency Valdez and Torry International and their immediate families including (spouses, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses).
2. To qualify for any Prize, the Individual must be a Scotiabank client whose Accounts are in good standing, which includes not being blocked, frozen, written off, or delinquent throughout the Promotional Period or delinquent for two (2) or more cycles within the past twelve (12) months for existing clients and for the duration of the promotional period for new clients. The Individual must also fulfil the requirements outlined in the QUALIFYING CRITERIA/ HOW TO ENTER section of these Terms and Conditions
3. If an Individual earns a Prize but ceases to be a Scotiabank client during the Promotional Period, or the Individual's Accounts cease to be in good standing as in two (2) above or becomes an “immediate family member” as in one (1) above, then the Individual shall be considered ineligible to receive the Prize.
4. Home Builder Loans, Auto Loans, Unsecured Loans, Scotiabank Credit Card purchases, Business Loans DO NOT QUALIFY for this promotion.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA/ HOW TO ENTER

Clients meeting the following criteria will receive one (1) entry at the end of the Promotional Period:

• Must have an existing deposit account or open one during the Promotional Period AND
• Must open or maintain a credit card or savings/ investing products AND
• Must be digitally active with 1 or more financial transaction in 30 days AND
• Must conduct a recurring transaction (e.g. bill payment) or have their Payroll assigned AND
• Must apply for and receive the proceeds of an Eligible Credit Facility for a minimum of $750,000 TTD with an auto-payment set up from a Scotiabank Account OR
• Refinance an existing Residential Mortgage, Switch Mortgage or Equity Take Out Mortgage Loan, with new funds at a minimum of $750,000 TTD with an auto-payment set up from a Scotiabank Account. 
   

QUALIFYING CRITERIA/ HOW TO ENTER

Clients meeting the following criteria will receive one (1) entry at the end of the Promotional Period:

• Must have an existing deposit account or open one during the Promotional Period AND
• Must open or maintain a credit card or savings/ investing products AND
• Must be digitally active with 1 or more financial transaction in 30 days AND
• Must conduct a recurring transaction (e.g. bill payment) or have their Payroll assigned AND
• Must apply for and receive the proceeds of an Eligible Credit Facility for a minimum of $750,000 TTD with an auto-payment set up from a Scotiabank Account OR

OFFICIAL RULES & REGULATIONS

1. The Promotion runs from June 23rd, 2025 to October 31st, 2025, inclusive of start and end dates and is available to all new and existing Scotiabank Individual (retail) Clients.
2. The new or refinanced Residential Mortgage, Switch Mortgage or Equity Take Out Mortgage Loan must be booked / fulfilled during the Promotional Period of June 23rd, 2025 to October 31st, 2025.
3. Clients must receive the proceeds of the Eligible Credit Facility by October 31st, 2025 
4. Winners will be selected on November 27th, 2025, by the Bank based on the qualifying criteria. (Refer to QUALIFYING CRITERIA/ HOW TO ENTER).
5. Prizes must be used to pay for merchandise or services from following categories: Furniture, Household Appliances, Hardware and Electrical Merchandise, Security System, Pest Control and Landscaping ---  1st Prize - Valued at $50,000 TTD; 2nd Prize - Valued at $30,000 TTD; 3rd Prize - Valued at $20,000 TTD
6. Redemption of Prizes: a)   Clients MUST provide quotes and invoice(s) from merchants supplying the merchandise or service in the categories listed in clause 5 above and permit Scotiabank staff to retain copies of the invoices on behalf the bank; b) Clients may choose from one or from a combination of categories listed in clause 5 above; c) .Cash Payment of rewards is not permitted; d) The reward cannot be applied to any debt held by the client in Scotiabank
7. Each winner shall be notified by their personal telephone number and email address on the Bank’s records within ten (10) business days from the date of the draw and shall as a condition of the award of a prize, provide proof of their identity and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance and Release within the period notified by The Bank.  If the winner declines to fulfill these conditions to collect the prize, their eligibility will be voided, and another winner will be drawn from the pool of eligible entries.
8. The Bank will contact winners using the personal or employer’s telephone and email addresses as provided by the Client and retained on The Bank’s records.  If the winners cannot be contacted after three (3) attempts by telephone within ten (10) business days from the date of the draw, The Bank has the right to draw an alternate name.
9. The winners’ name may be published in the media. A Winner must agree to the use of his or her name and videos and photographs without compensation in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank, specific to this Promotion as your status as a winner. 
10. The use of your eligible Scotiabank account to obtain an Eligible Credit Facility constitutes your consent to participate in this Promotion and your consent for The Bank to obtain your name, address, and other information for the lawful purpose of administering this Promotion and for other uses as permitted by applicable law.

12. Prizes are not transferable
13. The Bank reserves the right, in its sole discretion to void all entries. The winner will be responsible for expenses, as applicable, not explicitly stated as part of their prize, and must agree to release, discharge and hold harmless The Bank from and against any or all claims, losses, or damages resulting from participation in the Promotion.
14. In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of The Bank shall be final and binding in all respects, subject to the approval from the relevant gaming authorities.
15. Subject to the approval from the NLCB: 
    • Scotiabank has the right to exclude any Individual from this offer in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
    • Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, The Bank’s decision is final.

These terms and conditions apply only to this Promotion, and do not apply to any of The Bank’s other promotions or campaign or any other promotion or campaign in conjunction with The Bank and any other entity or brand.
