Your transfer limits

Details on how much you can transfer between your Scotia accounts and to other local banks.

Updated: May 2021

Understanding your Scotia account number:
The first 5 digits in your account number represent the Branch Code which identifies the location your account was opened.

Need to receive funds from another local bank? Be sure to have the sender check the number of characters required in the account number field. Depending on the other bank's requirements, your sender may need to add or omit the zeroes that follow the Branch Code. You may find your Branch Code here.

You can send money to anyone with a local bank account using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.

Cover an upcoming payment, send money to family and friends, pay the plumber or electrician and save for your goals.
