How-to Add a Transfer Recipient

One time is all you need. Add transfer recipients and get started today.

Step 1 - Sign in to Scotia OnLine Banking

Go to Scotia OnLine, enter your card number or username, password and click the "sign in" button to continue.

You should receive your verification code in your email's inbox immediately. If you don't see it, check your spam and/or promotions folder. If after a couple minutes, it's still not there, click the "Send me a verification code" link.

Step 2 - Go to Manage Recipients

Click on "Transfer" in the red navigation bar at the top of the page and then select "Manage Recipients" from the dropdown menu.

Step 3 - Add a new Transfer Recipient

From the "Manage Recipients" page, click on the little grey icon, that looks like a person, to add a new Recipient.

Step 4 - Select account type and bank

Select whether the account you are adding is a Business or Personal account, then select the bank at which the account is held.

Step 5 - Adding a Scotiabank recipient

If Scotiabank is selected as the bank at which your funds are being transferred, you'll be prompted to enter the below information about the recipient.

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Scotiabank Branch
  • Account number
  • Currency

Once all fields are filled out, please review and ensure that everything is accurate before you proceed.

Step 6 - Adding a recipient at another bank

If you are transferring the funds to another bank (RBL, RBC, First Citizens Bank, JMMB etc.) You will also be prompted to enter additional information about your recipient such as:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Name of Bank
  • Account number
  • Account type

Once all fields are filled out, please review and ensure that everything is accurate before you proceed.

Step 6 - Verify that it's you

You would need to verify that it's you through one of our verification processes. 

Depending on your security settings, you will have to verify through any one of the following:

Email: An authentication code would be sent to your email address. You Copy the code and enter it in the field  and click confirm.

TouchID: A push notification would appear on your smartphone from the Scotia Caribbean app. Click on it and verify your identity using TouchID.

FaceID: A push notification would appear on your smartphone from the Scotia Caribbean app. Click on it and verify your identity using FaceID.

Step 7 - Congrats! You've successfully added a Transfer Recipient.

You should now receive a notification at the top of the page letting you know that you have successfully added a recipient.

Success! Your request has been added.

Sign in to Scotia OnLine Banking
